Putting COSHH into practice
  1. Peter Gripper

Peter Gripper qualified from the Royal Veterinary College, London, in 1980. He is now a partner in a five-man practice in Wincanton, Somerset. For the past four years, he has undertaken consultancy work for practices throughout the country, producing COSHH assessments and advising on COSHH matters.

Abstract

THE COSHH Regulations introduced in 1988 have many serious implications for veterinary practice. Yet the wide range of subjects covered by COSHH, and the difficulty of knowing where to start (and stop), may have meant that some veterinary surgeons may have chosen to ignore them rather than attempt their implementation.
