  1. Penny Lazarus

    Penny Lazarus graduated from Glasgow in 1987. She spent two years as a demonstrator in farm animal medicine at the University of Liverpool and has since worked in a wide variety of practices. She has a NEBSM certificate in supervisory management and is studying for an Institute of Personnel and Development certificate in training and development. She is Regional Postgraduate Veterinary Dean for the North East of England, and a member of the North Eastern Veterinary Association and SPVS councils.

Abstract

CANVASSING client opinion can be a valuable exercise, giving the veterinary surgeon the opportunity to discover what clients think of the practice and how the services offered may be enhanced. This article considers the reasons for asking client opinion and the pros and cons of the methods available to you for gathering information.
