Computerisation - defining the way ahead
  1. Martin Barrow

Martin Barrow graduated from Edinburgh in 1984. In 1986 he became a partner in what is now a 12-vet mixed practice in Suffolk. His interest in practice management and computers led to the formation of AT Veterinary Systems of which he is a director.

Abstract

MANY veterinary practices today have computer systems and use them quite effectively to assist in the management of the business. They have decided which activities to computerise, how to implement the changes and which systems to use. Other practices, however, remain undecided or wary of computers and the changeover is not something they look forward to.
