CREDIT control is an essential function within any commercial enterprise. However, veterinary surgeons often seem to consider themselves exempt from this harsh reality of business life: the vet-client relationship must not be sullied with such a tacky consideration as money! However, at the end of the month the senior partner wants a drawings cheque and the junior assistant wants a pay cheque. Even nonbotanists are aware that money does not grow on trees ... In this article, and those on pages 36 and 38, three approaches to credit control are described.
