Abstract

'IT'S just a normal, routine procedure.' How often have we used that phrase in addressing our clients - and what is the purpose behind it? Is it to allay any fears they may have of what lies in store for their pet, or is it to demonstrate to the client that we are truly expert and that therefore 'nothing can go wrong'? In either case, the Veterinary Defence Society would caution the wisdom of such reasoning.
