Where Do You Stand On
The Data Protection Act?


THE Data Protection Act 1984 requires anyone who holds or controls collections of personal information in an electronic format to register the purposes for which they hold such information. The practical implications of the act for veterinary surgeons are set out here by the Data Protection Registrar's office.
