For cats' eyes only - the formative years of a feline-only practice

    David Godfrey qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in 1988 and has been involved in small animal practice since graduating. He holds the RCVS certificate in small animal dermatology and the RCVS certificate in small animal medicine.

    Rosie Anderson also qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in 1988 and spent a short time in mixed practice before concentrating on small animal work. She and David are partners in the Nine Lives Veterinary Practice for Cats in the West Midlands.

Abstract

HAVING a strong interest in cats and wanting their own practice, David Godfrey and Rosie Anderson decided to combine the two. In this article they discuss some of the factors they considered important when setting up their feline-only practice and, three years on, look at whether the practice is performing as well as expected.
