Making work experience a pleasure, not a trial

    Liz Glover was a careers adviser and taught maths and science in secondary schools before becoming practice manager at the Crofts Veterinary Surgery in Haslemere, Surrey. She is currently studying for the certificate in veterinary practice management.


MOST practices will receive requests from local schools to provide work experience placements for pupils. With a little preparation, the whole 'work experience' experience can be made into an enjoyable and profitable aspect of practice life for all concerned. Here, Liz Glover, a school's careers adviser turned practice manager, offers some practical advice.
