The car boot as an extension of the practice pharmacy

Ruth vernon qualified from the University of Liverpool in 1982 and spent one year as a demonstrator in reproduction and obstetrics at the university. In 1986, she became a partner in the Linden House Veterinary Centre in Diss, Norfolk. She was awarded the RCVS certificate in cattle health and production in 1996. She has served on the BVA medicines select committee and the BVA dispensing review group. She is currently on the BCVA council and executive, the BCVA medicines group and the Veterinary Formulary advisory committee.
Abstract
THE car boot is a far from ideal environment for the storage of veterinary medicinal products, subject as it is to extremes of temperature, humidity and light intensity. In this article, Ruth Vernon considers the storage requirements of veterinary medicines and explains what can be done to help ensure these are met when products are kept in the car boot.
