    Jelena Ristic graduated from London in 1992 and has spent time in general practice, at Cambridge veterinary school and in private referral work. She now works for Axiom Laboratories, sees internal medicine cases in general practice and is involved in postgraduate education. She holds the RCVS diploma in small animal medicine and the certificate in veterinary cardiology.

Abstract

IN recent years, there have been a number of articles in In Practice addressing the investigation, diagnosis and treatment of specific aspects of cardiac disease. The aim of this article is to provide an overview of the approach to the dog with suspected cardiac disease and highlight the usefulness of the various tests available.
