HAVING made a considerable investment - in time, effort and money - in recruiting and training a new member of the practice team, the last thing you want is for them to 'jump ship' and move on prematurely. As Maggie Shilcock explains, the key to keeping a new member of staff on board is to ensure that the practice meets their expectations by delivering what it has promised - and this involves a great deal more than simply making sure that they know how to do their job.
