Join the club – a novel approach to sheep work
  1. Iain Richards

    Iain Richards graduated from Liverpool in 1988. Since then he has worked in mixed practice, purchasing a five-vet practice in Kendal, Cumbria, in 1996. The partnership was created in 2002. He holds the RCVS certificate in veterinary anaesthesia.

  2. Richard Knight

    Richard Knight graduated from Edinburgh in 1995. He worked in Aberdeen before moving to Cumbria, becoming a partner in 2002. He holds the RCVS certificate in cattle health and production.


AS a response to the difficulties that have faced the farming industry over the past few years, Iain Richards and Richard Knight are developing new ways of communicating and working with farmer clients. Here, they outline the rationale behind their ‘lambing club’ – a scheme they hope will pave the way towards greater involvement with whole flock health, with farmers, vets and animal welfare all benefiting as a result.
