The Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) guidance for veterinary practices hosting undergraduates for extramural studies (EMS) has been updated in line with the recommendations of the RCVS EMS working party, which were accepted by the RCVS Council in November 2009. This advice was issued following a year-long review of EMS and underpinned by two consultations carried out by the working party within the veterinary profession.
