Abstract

Correct and rapid management of respiratory emergencies is demanded of almost every veterinary practitioner. A structured, logical approach to

the dyspnoeic patient will maximise the chance of a successful outcome. This article looks at initial treatment of respiratory emergencies as well as respiratory diseases of the lower and upper airway and thoracic cage.
