Diseases in camelids 2. From birth to weaning
  1. Claire Whitehead

Abstract

With the number of South American camelids in the UK increasing, there is a need for veterinary surgeons to familiarise themselves with anatomy, physiology and common presentations of the different species. An article in the June issue of In Practice (vol 35, pp 317-324) described diseases in adult camelids. This article discusses some of the more common disease presentations seen in young camelids in the UK.
