Holger A. Volk graduated from the veterinary school at Hanover university in 2001, before undertaking a PhD in neuropharmacology about drug-resistant epilepsy. He then completed his clinical training at the Royal Veterinary College (RVC) and was awarded the diploma of the European College of Veterinary Neurology. He is professor of veterinary neurology and neurosurgery at the RVC, department chair of clinical science and services and past-president of the European College of Veterinary Neurology.
