Veterinary care of bearded dragons

Bearded dragons are one of the most common lizards to be presented for veterinary examination. An understanding of their husbandry and the conditions that frequently affect them, as well as appropriate diagnostics, is absolutely essential in the veterinary care of these inoffensive creatures. This article reviews the natural history of bearded dragons and outlines their husbandry requirements in captivity. It also highlights some of the problems encountered in these reptiles and discusses the diagnosis and treatment of each.
